The Diversity Standards Collective - ‘Just Ask’ OOH Campaign
The Diversity Standards Collective launched an out-of-home campaign titled “Just Ask,” encouraging advertising professionals to seek guidance on inclusivity in their work. The campaign, created in-house in collaboration with JCDecaux, which provided the media space, poses thought-provoking questions such as: “Have you made a cultural insight or a stereotypical oversight?”, “Will your campaign resonate or irritate?”, and “Is your content impressively inclusive or culturally intrusive?” Each question is followed by the tagline “Just ask,” alongside images of potential panels ready to offer feedback through the DSC’s services.
This print & digital OOH campaign aims to help brands and agencies ensure their creative work is inclusive and representative of the communities they portray, focusing on areas like LGBT+ people, different religions, classes, ethnicities, and people with disabilities. By encouraging advertisers to seek feedback from the communities represented in their ads, the campaign aims to foster more authentic and respectful representations.
